Amsterdam City Swim for Kids
In the morning we organize the Amsterdam City Swim for Kids. 300 kids, between the age of 10 and 14, will swim, accompanied by an adult, the last 700 meters of the trail. They will start at 10:00 o’clock at the Hermitage and will finish at the Keizersgracht. Nice to support them before going to the MEA?!

Are you an accompanying adult? We will make sure a shuttlebus is ready to take you to the start at the MEA on time, so that you can start in the Amsterdam City Swim.

Music around the trail
At the Jonas Daniel Meijersplein is a DJ that gives swimmers and the audience a good time. At the pier in front of the Hermitage there will be sporty beats to give the swimmers a final boost.

The finish is located at the crossing Keizersgracht and Reguliersgracht. From the bridge Reguliersgracht the view on the finish is limited because of the participant’s area and the finish scaffolding. The passage at the odd-side of the Reguliersgracht/Keizersgracht is closed, so that participants are able to go to the buses at the Vijzelstraat which will bring them back to the start. Audience at the Herengracht that would like to go to the Prinsengracht, are kindly requested to walk via Utrechtsestraat.

Sailing traffic
The entire trail of the Amsterdam City swim is closed for sailing traffic. It’s not possible to land a boat within the trail because of the safety of the swimmers. The Keizersgracht will be closed for sailing traffic from Thursday the 31th of August because of the construction of the finish.

Marineterrein Amsterdam
The Marineterrein Amsterdam is an oasis of rest and attention in a dynamic city. Entrepreneurs, scientists and citizens from all over the world are working together on innovative ideas and projects that contribute to a more sustainable society. Step by step the closed area changes into a new, valuable city office for the neighborhood, the city and the country.
