Programme

During the Amsterdam City Swim, thousands of participants take the plunge for ALS. Following the swim, the tradition of the award ceremony ensues, and the interim amount raised is announced by presenting a check to the director of the ALS Foundation. Then, the celebration kicks off, raising a glass to all the loved ones for whom the Amsterdam City Swim is organized, and the afterparty begins! With delicious food, music, and plenty of camaraderie.

In the run-up to Sunday, September 8, you will find a more detailed program overview. The times below are approximate.

Wave Times
Since we cannot jump into the water with 3,000 participants at the same time, the program is divided into different start times. We call these start times 'waves,' meaning that we jump into the water in smaller groups at different start times. In August, all participants will receive their wave number and the corresponding start time. These will also be published on this page.

We advise every swimmer to be present on the event site well in advance (at least 1 hour and 15 minutes) so that you have enough time for registration, changing, and, for the 2.1 km, taking the shuttle bus.
